2018 Ford Mustang Review

Debuting in 1964, the Ford Mustang is one of the longest continuously existing cars on the market today, and it's been cemented as an American classic. The 2018 model of the classic muscle car stays true to Mustang tradition, offering powerful engine options, special performance features, and the same alluring appeal that the car's had since the beginning.

This 2018 Ford Mustang review from the team at Dick Smith Ford will give you a look at what the vehicle has to offer so you can decide whether it would be a good fit for your lifestyle.

Mustang Overview

The 2018 Mustang comes standard with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine. Inside the GT model, you'll find a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine with even more muscle, offering 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Both engines offer better fuel efficiency than their 2017 predecessors.

The MagneRide™ Damping System is an available option that will work to adjust all four corners of the vehicle independently, so you can take on even the tightest hairpin turns and winding curves with confidence.

Another new feature on the 2018 'Stang is Active Valve Performance Exhaust, which allows you to select the level of throaty rumble that your car will emit, whether you want it to roar for all to hear or glide quietly over the road.

Interior Features

The Mustang seats 4 on standard cloth upholstery, although you have the option to add luxurious features such as leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, and Recaro sport seats. Trunk space measures 13.5 cubic feet, which is large for a sports car.

Technology Offerings

Behind the steering wheel, you'll have the option to add a digital 12-inch instrument cluster display. You can customize your gauge layout to your preferences and even change the colors on the screen to fit your mood or personality.

You'll get the Ford SYNC® system standard, giving you tons of infotainment features to add convenience and entertainment to your drives around Raytown, Lee's Summit, and Blue Springs.

A rearview camera comes standard on the 2018 Mustang, making it easy to reverse the car or parallel park in a tight spot. Bluetooth® connectivity gives you the ability to use the car to access your phone's contacts plus music and to make phone calls without removing your hands from the wheel. You'll also get a proximity key, push-button start, and two USB ports for charging your devices. The even more well-equipped SYNC® 3 system is available if you'd like to add more features, such as navigation.
